Lay-Z-Spa Water Pump Service Kit - Air Jet Pump Units - Including new Stainless Steel Screws & Nuts ROYAL MAIL DELAYS DUE TO CV LOCKDOWN - PLEASE READ - Whilst Royal Mail are still operating, there is a large backlog of mail causing delays in some areas. This is due to staff shortages and working precautions/restrictions in place at the mail sorting depots. Even 1st class post is taking longer than a week in some cases. If you need the seals urgently I strongly suggest choosing Special Delivery.International Orders There are long delays to some countries, particularly the USA and Canada. They are getting through but it's taking time so PLEASE be patient.
Things are gradually getting better and I can now offer International Standard post again, I did remove this service due to the amount of complaints I was getting because of delays. This is the most cost effective service, however it is UNTRACKED. If you wish to have tracked, please select this upon purchase but it's considerably more expensive at £9.60. I do not make money on postage, I charge you exactly what Royal Mail charges me. PLEASE NOTE - The pump is NOT included.
Lay-Z-Spa Water Pump Seals - Air Jet Pump Units These are standard Nitrile seals. If you would like a more peace of mind "fit and forget" solution" check out my other listing for upgraded VITON seals which come with a lifetime replacement guarantee and also includes neoprene seals for connectors B & C VITON seals will NOT perish due to chlorine. See here...... https://www.classifieds board.co.uk/itm/phone8 (you will have to copy and paste as I don't know how to make it a clickable link) Lol. Whats included ? Pump outlet o rings x 2 Pump flange gasket o ring x 1 6 x new stainless steel screws and nyloc locking nuts for the pump (will not rust like originals) Could I kindly ask that people read the sentence below carefully?
The photos of the pump are simply to illustrate where the seals fit:- PLEASE NOTE - The pump is NOT included. Very easy and safe 10 minute DIY (I can email instructions if needed) These are o ring seals that fit the outlet of the pump which often perish due to chlorine and other chemicals. Also included is the pump flange o ring and new stainless steel screws and nuts which will not rust like the standard ones. If the small o rings on your pump have perished and turned white, it is almost certain the flange will also need replacing. If water is leaking from the bottom of the pump unit, there is very good chance it is these seals as they are a common fail point.
Most leaks are very easily fixed so dont panic ! Please note these are not the rubber washer type seals which fit the two connecters (B & C) between the pump unit and inflatable. However these are available on my other listing. Compatible on all air jet units (egg shaped pump unit) Any questions please ask. IF THE SEALS DO NOT FIX THE LEAK THEN PLEASE GET IN TOUCH ASAP.
I WILL DO MY UPMOST TO HELP YOU. GIVE ME THE CHANCE TO SORT IT BEFORE LEAVING FEEDBACK. Please read below regarding other common leaks. The other common leak is the when the liner one way valve fails, which they all do as they are rubbish (you will know this if water leaks from the liner when the air blower connector A pipe is disconnected). Water then fills the air blower pipe and is stopped by another one way valve inside the pump unit.
The seal on this valve eventually perishes and splits due to the chemicals. Once this happens water can seep past the seal and will drain the hot tub. Unfortunately I don't have these seals for sale (maybe in the future) but I can give instructions of a simple 15 minute workaround fix which usually works. To test if your pump unit one way valve seal has failed, do the following:- Disconnect the pump unit from the power and the inflatable. Lay the pump unit on it's side so the three connectors are pointing up towards the sky.
Pour water into the large connector which is the air blower and fill it to the top. If the water level drops then your one way valve seal has perished. Chlorine destroys them once the liner one way valve fails and the blower pipe fills with water, it is a matter of when not if. To fix this, basically you remove the bottom panel, remove the plastic air blower housing (four screws and split the large connector nut so the pipe can pull through the side) and take the plastic housing apart on a kitchen worktop or something. Inside you will find two dome shaped valves on springs.
The bottom one is the one that stops water escaping and will have perished. The top one should be in good condition though so simply swap them around, place the good one at the bottom and the perished one at the top. Rebuild in reverse and this should stop water escaping. I can send illustrated instructions via email if you buy seals. Thanks PLEASE NOTE - The pump is NOT included.
