Hi and welcome to my auction. It is for a Softub T220 and I'd class it as being in pretty good condition compared to the other used ones you see on classifieds board. I bought it from a guy who had it from new, he said one day it just stopped working so he had a so called "hot tub engineer" to come out and fix it but the only thing he did manage to do was fry the electric circuit board. So the guy lost Interest in it and sold it on. So what I have done is by-pass the circuit board and run the pump from a controll panel I've made which basically is just a thermostat set to 38 degrees and it turns the pump on and off as and when it needs heat as these hot tubs don't have a heating element in them.
They have a special coil that wraps around the motor and when the motor is running the heat from the motor transfers into the coil and in return heats the water up. This is why the softubs are very efficient to run. It has run like this for nearly 2 years now. I won't be including the controll panel with the sale as I need it for my next project. The motor is still very smooth and isn't noisy in any way.
The led light still works between the different colours from a 240v-12v adapter and all 5 jets work a treat as does the airator. There is no leaks in the liner or the pluming as it doesn't loose any water. The liner is rippled a touch round the top where the previous owner had run it with too much chlorine in it. There is 2 little tears in the top of the brown leather underneath the lid around 1" long which you can see in the pictures. These tubs are made from 6" thick foam and are very easy for 1 person to move them around, they are designed to fit through a standard door way so you can put them just about anywhere.
If you look on classifieds board you can buy a brand new circuit board for this tub for £399 so that it will be as good as new. Ive been as honest as I can and if there is any questions you have please just message me. I live in St. Helens, so this where you will collect the tub from as its collection only and I'd prefer cash on collection. Thanks for looking. Craig.
