Hot Tub for auction. This was with our house when we moved in last year. We've got no need for it so it's up for grabs. It comes with a load of chemicals of varying quantities (bottles part full), a step, chemical floater thing and insulated cover (receipt for £250 for this alone....). I've disconnected the feed cable at it's isolator, so there's about fifteen feet of armoured cable attached still.
Obviously, this will be included in the auction. The canopy is not included though, as my wife has other plans for it (joy). The paperwork that came with the house shows it as a Southwest Spas Molokai 2, which has:•seating for six•78" x 78" x 35"•lounger•cooling seat•35 jets We fired it up and ran the various pumped functions, they seemed fine. There are a couple of photos of it running. Took the side panel off for a look and it seems it's had a new pump at some point too, which is a bonus.
The light works too... I turned the heater on, then realised how long it would take to warm up so gave up. So, treat the heater as untested. There's a small blister in the gelcoat at the base, which has popped (see photo). This is just a surface issue, there's no water leakage. It's been dry for a few months now, so should take a cosmetic repair easily.
The only other issue is access for removal- the third photo shows the problem, which is a brick wall between the tub and the outside world.. i'd guess it weighs about 250kg all in, so it's something you would need to hire lifting gear of some sort to remove. For the avoidance of doubt, it wont fit through the gate or garage... the side panels of the gazebo come out, so it could be slid out, then lifted. Any questions, feel free to ask. You're welcome to come and have a look if you're serious. Lastly, I need a £50 deposit within a day or two of auction end to confirm your intention to complete the purchase, otherwise the item will be relisted
