Electric Drive Unit Hot Tub Moving Aid Fits Spa Dolly Trailer / Trolley System

For sale is a custom made electric powered drive unit for the spa dolly trailer / trolley system. What your buying is the metal (painted silver) spa dolly adaptor and the 2 wheeled electric drive unit ( it originally was a MR SHIFTA 2) but it has been modified considerably for the task in hand. When connected to a 12v car battery (any size) it will drive the 2 drive wheels forward or backwards both together at the same speed (quite slowly but very powerful, I’m 18 stone and can’t stop it!!) The unit has a single pivot point meaning the drive unit is steerable and will turn more than 180 degrees! When the drive unit is fitted the spa dolly trolley is level meaning the same height as if you were using the original steerable wheels instead. This is a one off home made (I’m an engineer) drive unit that can be either used as the front steering wheels, or the rear wheels either steered or fixed.

Ideal for long distance moves up or down a garden, path, track etc With the spa dolly system and this drive unit I can and have been moving even the largest of hot tubs on my own! It’s uses a 12v winch solenoid (over spec’d) to control the drive motor, and the direction of travel is selected by the use of a spring loaded lever switch. This could easily be swapped out for a key switch or a remote fob control could also be retrofitted so it can be activated remotely or from the other end! (Message me and I can do this at a cost) prior to purchase if needed. This will need to be a collection only item due to size and weight!
