This is because there are lots of different factors that affect running costs (regularity of use, ambient temperatures, electrical tariff, location of the hot tub). You may see claims from some companies of “90p per day” but this is likely being calculated purely on just the cost of keeping the water hot, without considering initial start-ups and running any of the jet pumps.
