Canadian Haliburton hot tub spa. Everything currently works on this hot tub. It's heating fine, the circulation pump works well and is almost silent in use, and the blower works wells. You can put essential oils in the top of the blower and it feeds that through the airs jets in the spa. This hot tub is an octagon made up of rigid sectional panels, with a plastic liner circumvented with air jets.
This means you can get it through your house to the garden, and ship it inside your car. To improve efficiency I have injected the hollow walls with expanding foam, this exactly HALVED the daily energy usage! I have partially built-in this hot tub, which means the back side of it is going to pretty grubby with insects etc. I haven't pulled it out and cleaned it because I wanted to have it up and running to sell. The original box that housed the gubbins is also gone because it was huge and ugly so I made my own.
This means you'll also have to be making your own box to house the pump etc. Really this ought to be bought for spares. The controller itself retails for around £100 as does the pump and blower, that's if you can even find them as of course this spa isn't made any more. There are currently no leaks that I can tell - the water level does not go down and the floor around the edge does not get wet. HOWEVER I appreciate this is old and I'd be concerned that once you fold up the plastic liner to remove it could crack.
People do repair them though with foil tape on the back. I've never needed to do this. I've also carried out a small hack on the heater circuit with a resister that means it reports 2 degrees lower than actual temperature. This was so that in the winter I could heat it to 42 degrees C if I wanted. Also it means that after a power outage when the hot tub turns back on at its default temp of 37 degs, it's really at 39.
This meant I could use a timer to heat it at night on my cheaper electricity tariff. This is a simple inline resister so you could remove it easily if you wanted to, for some reason. Anyway, sold as seen of course. It's up and running for you to come and look. Then I can drain and pack up for you to come back.
Videos of it up and running:-https://youtu.be/UzIe9pJhBNAhttps://youtu.be/ZZJjWApCDpAhttps://youtu.be/OD9n4_9SDgA I'd describe the condition as grade C. It is a few years old now. Also included will be loads of chemicals - pH increase & decrease, filter cleaner, spa cleaner, foam down, hose powered 'vac'.
